Whether you are an avid golfer, golf only a few times a year, or haven’t golfed in a while please consider joining us for a fun-filled evening of golf (9 holes) with social time afterwards to laugh at the missed putts, celebrate miracle shots out of the rough, or just enjoy good company!

  • Open to SMC & SCC Women’s Club Members $5 per week or $50 for the entire league in advance
  • SCC Members who are not part of the Women’s Club $10 per week
  • Public may participate for a maximum of 5 weeks for $25 per week or $100 for the 5 weeks in advance
  • Opening to the first 36 players to sign up
  • Format: Varies (fun!!)

Eligibility: Male amateur golfers who have a membership at a VGA member club and/or an active, valid GHIN handicap.
Format: Individual 18 hole stroke play, flighted according to handicap, both gross & net prizes will be awarded.
Entry Fee: $42.50 for non-Stowe CC members. $27.50 for members of Stowe CC. A $15.00 credit (refund) for Stowe members will be applied to the credit card that was used during the registration process.
Registration: On-line registration opens February 16, 2018. You may register up to 4 (four) people at one time. Please note that whoever is registering the group will have to pay for the entire group at the time of registration.
Cart Policy: Carts are mandatory and must be paid for in the pro shop on the day of the tournament.
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by the deadline. If a player wishes to enter the tournament after the entry deadline, and if there is an available spot for that player, there will be an additional charge of $10.00 per player.
Tee Times/Pairings: Will be posted on the event portal as soon as practicable after the close of entries.
Dress Code: Appropriate golf attire – collared shirts – no denim. If in doubt, please call the pro shop.
Cancellations: Cancellations can be made on line prior to the close of entries and will be refunded in full less a 3% credit card processing fee. After the close of entries and prior to the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded less a $10.00 pp cancellation fee but you must contact the VGA office to cancel. No refunds will be given after the start of the tournament.
Conditions/Schedules: The VGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein. The decision of the VGA in any matter shall be final.

VSWGA Ladies State Day

All players must register with VSWGA to participate

VSWGA State Days are weekly one-day 18-hole stroke play events that bring members together for some friendly competition. In 2018, we have 52 State Day events scheduled beginning May 1st. There are 2-3 courses to choose from each Tuesday, with venues in northern, central and southern Vermont. We’ll end the season with a day of golf, food, and fun at our annual Fall Awards Classic on September 25th.

The entry fee for all 18 hole courses is $28 and $23 for 9-hole courses. For an additional $2, enter the closest-to-the-pin contest–half the proceeds benefit Junior Golf. Cart price and requirement will vary by course.

Players register for a state day by requesting a tee time using our on-line tournament management software.

 

Participants receive Award Points toward winning the Janet Lang Trophy. Clubs compete for the Mae Murray Jones Cup in three divisions. See Awards and Prizes for more information on state day points and awards.

Member Guest Wednesdays

  • A member brings one, two, or three guests – the more guests the bigger the savings!
  • Book your own tee times and register guests in the golf shop.
  • $75 one guest | $65 per for two guests | $50 per guest for three guests
  • Members earn one point for each guest and the member who brings the most guests at the conclusion of the year will win $500 off a 2019 Membership!
  • * Price is plus VT tax. Please check with golf shop on Wednesdays that may be unavailable do to outside play or maintenance

Cinco De Mayo Opening Day

Attention all golfers! Plan on joining your fellow golfing friends at Stowe CC on opening day for Cinco De Mayo to support the Stowe High School Golf Team. The day starts with a 9am shotgun open to all golfers. The format is Cha-Cha-Cha which is a fun twist that allows the individual to play their own ball, but also have a fun time as a team. On the first hole you record one score, on the 2nd hole you record two scores, and on the third hole you record three scores. You repeat the process through the round.

$20 for SMC and SCC Club Members | $30 for SCC Members | $50 for public ($20 for fiesta only)
Awards and mexican fiesta following play from 2-5pm
